What do other people see in Snapchat?

Snap Map and other Snapchat features that use the iPhone location show the place Roam set. Friends who can see your location see that place. A restart sends the iPhone back to its real location until you set the place again in Roam.

If you only want to stop friends seeing where you are, Snap Map's Ghost Mode does that for free. Snapchat's terms don't allow tampering with the app or its location features, and an account can be locked for it. Roam cannot rule that out.

Snapchat reads the location iOS gives it. Roam changes that location on the iPhone, with no jailbreak and no computer. A VPN does not do this job: a VPN changes the IP address, not the GPS. The comparison is Does a VPN change your iPhone location?
