Roam works on iPhones with iOS 27 or newer.

Change iPhone location without a computer

You can change what an iPhone shares without a computer. On iOS 27, Find My and Location Services are free and need no extra app. Those controls remove a live location. To show a place you choose, Roam runs on the iPhone itself, with no jailbreak and no computer. Desktop tools are the path that uses a PC.

Roam is not affiliated with Apple.

What can you change with no app and no computer?

The iPhone already changes what other people see, and the iPhone needs no computer to do it. Find My can turn off Share My Location, or Hide Location can hide one person until the next day. Location Services, in Settings under Privacy & Security, can stop apps on that iPhone. A second device on the same Apple Account can share if that device is really at the place.

Those steps are enough when the live pin should leave, or when the shared device is physically there. Those steps do not put the iPhone in a city you typed. Apple's guides are Share your location with iPhone and Find My and location sharing. The menu-by-menu version is How to hide location on iPhone.

  1. Open Find My. Turn off Share My Location, or tap Hide Location for one person.
  2. Or open Settings, Privacy & Security, Location Services, and turn Location Services off or set one app to Never.
  3. Or, in Find My's Me tab, switch Sharing From to a device that is really at the place you want shared.

Leave Find My iPhone on, under your name in Settings, so a lost iPhone can still be found. If your safety is at risk, Apple offers Safety Check.

What do desktop iPhone location tools need?

A desktop location changer is a program for Windows or Mac. The usual session connects the iPhone to that computer. The connection is often a cable. Some programs also offer Wi-Fi or Bluetooth after a first connection. The iPhone does not run the change by itself while the computer is doing the work.

iMyFone AnyTo's getting-started steps install software on the computer and connect the phone by cable, Wi-Fi, or Bluetooth. The iPhone-app steps get the app through the desktop program. The same page also says the changer can be used without a PC, and it says no jailbreak. Checked on 30 October 2026: AnyTo.

Tenorshare iAnyGo's three steps launch the program and connect the phone to the computer. iAnyGo says the first iPhone install uses a computer, and that the app then runs on the iPhone. How does Roam change location on the iPhone?

Roam is the iPhone location changer on this site, and Roam never asks for a computer. Roam changes the location every app gets from iOS, Find My included. You search or drop a pin and tap Teleport. A route follows roads at a walk, a run, a cycle, or a drive. The joystick moves the pin by hand.

Roam needs iOS 27 or newer and Developer Mode switched on — no jailbreak, no computer. Roam is sold by BLOCC. A day is €4.99, a week is €9.99, a month is €14.99 and a year is €49.99. Payment is with Stripe.

The point of skipping the computer is privacy and practicality. The place is set on the phone you already have, whether you are testing an app from another city, planning a trip, or keeping a home address off someone else's map. Be fair to people who rely on knowing where you are. Don't use a changed location to mislead someone or to commit fraud.

The install stays on the iPhone. Safari reads the UDID, you pay, and the personal install link arrives by e-mail. iOS may ask for Developer Mode under Settings, Privacy & Security, Developer Mode. Which limits still apply without a computer?

No computer does not mean no limits. Find My still shows a place when Roam is providing one, so you have not vanished. The location stays simulated. Pokémon GO and other games that check a simulated location can notice it. Roam does not work with those games, and some games block accounts. Closing Roam ends the location until you open Roam again.

Hide Location remains the free answer when the pin should be gone until the next day and a stand-in place is not wanted. A desktop tool remains an answer when you specifically want a Windows or Mac program. Roam is the answer when the iPhone should do the change alone.
