How to change location on Find My iPhone
Find My on iOS 27 cannot type a new city into the pin. Find My can stop sharing, or hide location until the next day. To change the place Find My shows, the iPhone must report that place. Roam sets that place on the iPhone. Find My shows it with no simulated label.
Roam is not affiliated with Apple.

What can Find My change on an iPhone?
Find My on iOS 27 can stop a live location, hide a location until the next day, or share from another device that is really there. Find My cannot drop a pin in a city you name while the iPhone stays somewhere else. That split is the whole page.
Use the free controls when the live pin should disappear. Use Roam when Find My should keep showing a place, and the place should be one you picked. Travel, a test of an app from another city, and keeping a home address private are the reasons that fit. Be fair to people who rely on knowing where you are. Don't use a changed location to mislead someone or to commit fraud.
Apple's own steps are Share your location with iPhone and Find My and location sharing. Which device shares is in Share your location in Find My.
How do you pause or hide location in Find My first?
Pause and Hide Location come before any paid app, because both are already on the iPhone. Open Find My. The Me tab's Share My Location switch stops everyone. Hide Location, under More on one person, stops that person until the next day. Stop Sharing My Location stops that person until you share again.
The pause written on its own is How to pause location on Find My. Hiding, Location Services, and sharing from another device are in How to hide location on iPhone. A fixed pin, as opposed to a moving one, is How to freeze location on iPhone.
- Open the Find My app on the iPhone.
- Open the Me tab and turn off Share My Location if nobody should see a live location.
- For one person, open the People tab, tap the person, and tap the More button.
- Tap Hide Location to stop until the next day, or tap Stop Sharing My Location to stop until you share again.
Share My Location is sharing with people. Find My iPhone, under your name in Settings, finds a lost iPhone. Leave Find My iPhone on. If your safety is at risk, Apple offers Safety Check, which can stop location sharing quickly.
Location Services sits in Settings, Privacy & Security, Location Services. Turning Location Services off stops apps on the iPhone from receiving a location. Location Services does not type a new city into Find My.
How do you set the place Find My shows with Roam?
Roam changes the location the iPhone reports, so Find My shows that location. Roam needs iOS 27 or newer and Developer Mode switched on — no jailbreak, no computer. You install Roam with the iPhone's UDID and a personal install link. Payment is with Stripe. Roam is sold by BLOCC. A day is €4.99, a week is €9.99, a month is €14.99 and a year is €49.99.
Teleport puts the pin on one spot. A route moves along roads at a walk, a run, a cycle, or a drive. The joystick moves the pin by hand. Find My shows whatever the iPhone is reporting. No simulated label appears on the other person's Find My. The location is still simulated, because Roam uses the location simulation Apple built into iOS for developers. Apple documents that check as isSimulatedBySoftware.
After an iPhone restart, the iPhone goes back to its real location. You set the place again in Roam.
- On the iPhone you'll use, open the passes and choose a day, a week, a month, or a year.
- Continue in Safari. Safari reads the iPhone's UDID, then you pay with Stripe. The personal install link arrives by e-mail.
- Install Roam from that link. When iOS asks, turn on Developer Mode in Settings, Privacy & Security, Developer Mode, then restart.
- Open Roam, search for a place or drop a pin, and tap Teleport.
- Leave the pin there, follow a route at a walk, run, cycle, or drive, or move the pin with the joystick.
