Roam works on iPhones with iOS 27 or newer.

Best iPhone location changer

A location changer app for iPhone is a way to make the phone report a place you choose, so your real location stays private. “Best” here means the one that fits that job: on the iPhone, without a computer, for every app at once. This page compares Roam with iMyFone AnyTo, Tenorshare iAnyGo, Wondershare Dr.Fone Virtual Location and 3uTools. The comparison uses only what each official site says about a computer and about platform. Prices and features we did not verify are left out.

The notes match the linked official pages, as of the date above. If their page disagrees, follow their page.

What this comparison checks

Two questions are enough. Does the tool need a computer? Which platforms does the maker offer? A Windows program, a Mac program and an iPhone app are different products even when they share a name. Prices, feature lists and claims about games stay off this page. If you need those, open the official page. This one will not invent them.

The job, from this site's side, is privacy. You choose the place that apps and the people you share with get to see, and your real location stays yours. Be fair to people who rely on knowing where you are. Don't use a changed location to mislead someone or to commit fraud.

Roam, on the iPhone

Roam is an iPhone app that changes the location for all apps at once. No jailbreak, and no computer. It requires iOS 27 or newer. You install it with the device UDID and a personal install link. Roam is sold by BLOCC. A day is €4.99, a week is €9.99, a month is €14.99 and a year is €49.99.

Teleport sets one place. Routes follow roads at a walking, cycling or driving pace. The joystick moves the pin by hand. In Find My, the other person sees the place you chose in Roam. No simulated label appears. The location is still simulated, because Roam uses the location simulation Apple built into iOS for developers.

Roam does not work with Pokémon GO or other games that check whether a location is simulated. Those games can notice it, and some block accounts.

The how-to pages are separate: How to pause location on Find My, Stop sharing location without them knowing, and How to freeze location on iPhone.

iMyFone AnyTo

People searching for an iMyFone AnyTo alternative usually want the same job done on the machine they actually have. On AnyTo's official page, the tech specs list a computer: Windows 11, 10, 8 and 7, and Mac from 10.9 through 14. The getting-started steps have three tracks. The computer track says to install the software on the computer, then connect the phone by cable or by Wi-Fi or Bluetooth. The iPhone track says to get the iPhone app through the desktop program. The Android track says to install the app on the phone. The same page also says the changer can be used without a PC.

AnyTo is a Windows and Mac program, and it also describes an iPhone app and an Android app. Their iPhone steps go through the desktop program, and they also say a PC is optional. This page adds no price and no verdict.

Tenorshare iAnyGo

An iAnyGo alternative search is the same kind of question. iAnyGo's official page offers a desktop program for Windows and for Mac, with the versions listed there. The three steps on that page start by launching iAnyGo and connecting the phone to the computer. The page also says no computer is needed, and that no computer is required after installation.

iAnyGo says the first iPhone install uses an assistant on a computer, and that the app then runs on the iPhone. The page also says there is an Android app. The desktop path uses a computer throughout. The iPhone path uses one at the start.

Wondershare Dr.Fone Virtual Location

Dr.Fone Virtual Location's page lists the computer systems as Windows 11, 10, 8.1, 8 and 7, and macOS 10.13 or later. The steps start on the computer: launch Dr.Fone, connect the iPhone, by USB or by Wi-Fi, and Wi-Fi is described as available after a first connection. A FAQ on that page says the product is available through those Windows and macOS workflows, and that the page also lists supported mobile options. The how-to itself does not describe those mobile options, so this comparison does not state a separate iPhone app.

3uTools

3uTools' download page offers Windows builds and Mac builds, including Intel and Apple silicon, and it also offers deb and rpm packages. The page says to install the Windows or Mac version and to connect the iPhone with a USB cable, including when you want the computer to install the mobile app. The Virtual Location guide uses that computer program: connect with a USB cable, then Toolbox and Virtual Location. That guide does not say the iPhone app itself changes the location, so this page does not say it either.

3uTools is a general iPhone utility, with Virtual Location inside the computer program. Roam is only a location app, and only on the iPhone.

Only computer and platform, from each official site

Dr.Fone Virtual Location The steps start on a computer and connect the iPhone by USB or Wi-Fi. Windows and macOS. Mobile options are mentioned, not described in the how-to.

Which one fits

If you want a Windows or Mac program and you are fine connecting the iPhone to it, AnyTo, iAnyGo, Dr.Fone Virtual Location and 3uTools each document that path on their own sites. A blank in the table is something this page could not verify.

If you want a location changer app on the iPhone, with no computer at any step, Roam is the one this site sells. It needs iOS 27 or newer. It changes the location for every app at once. In Find My there is no simulated label, and the location is still simulated. It does not work with Pokémon GO or other location-checking games.

Set a place with Roam

A day is €4.99, a week is €9.99, a month is €14.99 and a year is €49.99. The link in the e-mail is personal to that iPhone.

  1. On the iPhone you'll use, open the passes and choose a day, a week, a month or a year.
  2. Continue in Safari. It reads your iPhone's UDID, then you pay. Your personal install link arrives by e-mail.
  3. Install Roam from that link. When iOS asks, turn on Developer Mode in Settings › Privacy & Security › Developer Mode, then restart.
  4. Open Roam, search for a place or drop a pin, and tap Teleport.

Find My then shows that place. See the passes, or read how location sharing and Find My fit in. Questions go to support@roamlocation.com.
