What does Hinge see?
People who see your distance or area in Hinge can see the place Roam set, because Hinge reads the iPhone location.
Is it allowed, and can an account be banned?
Hinge sets its own rules. Its terms ask for accurate profile information, and a third-party tool that changes your location can break those terms and lead to a restricted or banned account. Roam cannot rule that out. The official option comes first: Hinge lets you set the location in your profile, including by typing a place, and says it does not update that location on its own. Don't use a changed location to mislead people you plan to meet.
Roam does not promise that Hinge cannot tell the location is simulated.

How do you set the place with Roam?
- On the iPhone you'll use, open the passes and choose a day, a week, a month or a year.
- Continue in Safari. It reads your iPhone's UDID, then you pay. Your personal install link arrives by e-mail.
- Install Roam from that link. It is not on the App Store. When iOS asks, turn on Developer Mode in Settings › Privacy & Security › Developer Mode, then restart.
- Open Roam, search for a place or drop a pin, and tap Teleport. A route or the joystick can move that place.
